Do not steal.
She walked through the cemetery at a casual pace. She didn't like moving about during the day. She lived here by herself and that was how it had been. She waited all day for the sun to go down then like creatures that flew out at dusk from dark places, bats, she too emerged. Shaking rain droplets from her body she scoffed up at the sky lifting her head. Not only was it raining but fall had also set in. Not that it really bothered her.
Asina had been around for a while now and not had the pleasure of meeting anyone else like her or maybe even a tad bit cautious of her. Suddenly, the female stopped in her tracks as the rain slackened and heard something. 'Who dares walk in such a dreadful place like this?' she thought to herself her head turning toward the direction of the entrance of the cemetery. She had half the mind to just avoid whoever or whatever it was, but she also caught the slight scent of another canine. "Oh, a visitor" she spoke and started making her way the entrance being sure to stay in the shadows.

DID YOU REALLY TRULY THINK, BEING SAFE AND LIVING IN LUXURY WOULD LAST?
Paws crunched fallen leaves from the autumn trees. Nature began to dominate and overcome the man made things around the world and canines ruled. Shattered liked it here. A voice reached her ears and the Basenji couldn' t possibly run away. So someone knows I've arrived? She shrugged and looked about for the body of the dog. If she was a dog. Something or someone moved in the shadows. There she was. Shattered lifted her head and addressed the canine. "You could say I'm a visitor. Though who am I visiting if I can't see them?" She questioned, a smirk on her lips and a fang glinting in the moonlight from underneath.

She watched the female as she stopped and then spoke towards. Asina made her steps much quieter as she walked around her. So this dog had slightly longer than normal fangs. Asi stopped after a moment finally considering the other dog's words. "You are visiting a dark place that holds..dark things" she replied this time showing her own fangs, though Asina's were longer. With just almost silent steps she walked just a bit out the shadows.
"You may call me Asina" she said now sitting down blinking red eyes. Asina rarely showed fear anymore. It wasn't like she didn't have any but other dogs didn't scare her too much especially while she was within her own domain. Living here had its moments. "So do tell...what would your name happen to be?" She asked only tilting her head just a little. Then she turned her head glancing back into the shadows briefly before looking back to the female awaiting her reply.

She turned and twisted, watching the female circle her. Dark things, huh?At Asina's introduction, she settled down and sat facing the dog who approached her. "Why, hello Asina. Name's Shattered." She said, ears picking up a mouse scuffling in the leaves. She asked, leaning her head forward in a questioning matter.
Her ears twitched as the sound of a scuttling mouse entered them. There was no time for that, Asina could be a threat. Her dark eyes looked over the female in a calm manner. "And what is the reason I have the honors of meeting a dog so familiar with the cemetery?" She asked, leaning her head forward in a questioning matter.
The female dog seemed at home here. Maybe she lived here. Or maybe she just sulked here a lot. She smirked again at the thought. She had to go with living here though. Th way the other dog looked about the place could only be a queen looking over her kingdom. And Shattered was only trespassing.
As the female introduced herself as Shattered she thought to herself 'What an...unusual name' But it was a name nonetheless. All things had a name whether it was a good name was up to that canine or so."And what is the reason I have the honors of meeting a dog so familiar with the cemetery?" she heard Shattered ask and Asina smiled again. "When you have lived as long as I have, without the help of others, you find yourself staying put in one particular place." she replied calmly. "The world dull to most dogs like myself. I could be wrong though...seeing as though you've made your way here. Exploring I would take it?" she asked with a slight smile.
Shattered didn't have the scent of any other dogs about her so it was easy to tell that she was not in a gang or pack. Asina couldn't see herself in one of those things. Sure, she started off in a small gang when she was born but that changed when she started to like the taste of blood. 'Such good memories' she thought to herself.

She looked over the dog whose realm she was in. Perhaps she was a whippet or a greyhound. At her comment about living, Shattered huffed. She hadn't lived at all! Hadn't met someone who caught her, hadn't been in a right, never had a great friend. She has a lot to say or teach, doesn't she? Facing Asina again, she said,"Bah! I haven'haven't lived at all yet!" She exclaimed, her voice getting awfully loud. After the small excitement, she grinned and blinked her dark crimson eyes. Her paws scuffled along the ground as she began to be wary of this other dog.
Shattered let her slack a bit, getting into a comfortable yet easily escapable position. The Basenji didn'didn't plan to stay very long. She was was just passing by, searching for anyone who might grant her anything useful. Asina definitely taught her to never let her guard down, but not be too uptight. Perhaps she wasn'wasn't too bad of a visitor. She lifted a paw for a moment and stepped again when a leaf whisked under it. Shame, she wasn'wasn't leaving quite yet. Not until she learned about about Asina."So. What should I know about Asina of the cemetery?"
The female only listened as Shattered spoke even louder and Asina laughed softly for a split moment and said "Well then you definitely have some things to see...well besides the humans" Asina had had her share of meeting them. Most were always trying to catch her as a pet when she was a puppy. Then when the humans started dying out she had started changing. And found herself staying here in the cemetery.
"Asina of the cemetery. I like the sound of that really." She said and then thought for moment saying "What to know about me? Lets see...you're more than welcome to come to me if you want your life sucked out of you." She smiled at the end winking at the female. Lifting a paw she chuckled to herself saying "I wouldn't harm you though darling. Not sure if it's because you look...too innocent or because you still haven't seen what things are around you yet."

"I'll keep that in mind, if I need blood removal. Anyways, I'm curious to know. What breed are you? Yours truly is a Basenji." Shattered said. All danger aside, she was truly curious, naturally in her blood. She innocently wanting to know just a bit more before heading for another encounter. Fall was here, that's for sure. With year was approaching too. Shattered plotted either digging out a den, camping out somewhere or hiding away in a human shelter. She scrunched her nose st the thought of staying in one of their houses for longer than she need to be. It reeked and she was glad they were gone. Always trying to put a leash on her.
While waiting for the female to reply, Shattered looked over the cemetery around them. She couldn't imachine living there. There were such open spots and super closed spots. The female couldn't see very clearly there. It was also really taunting, drawing other dogs in. Though she figured, Asina would claim this land and make sure they didn't take it for themselves. Thinking of homes, she didn't want to leave that much. The tan and white Basenji wanted to learn how to fight, being part of the Others. Though she was too shy on the subject to ask.
Her ear twitched as Shattered asked what breed of dog she was. When was the last time she had told someone that? Taking a moment to think and search through he'd own mind she slightly frowned to herself. "Ah...I am a Ibizan hound. When the humans were around I believed they called me a type of hunting dog." She replied and then shook her head. Hunting was something she loved to do. Especially because it involved chasing. But she wasn't about to hunt for the amusement of humans. Though, there had been a close encounter with a human pup. Seemed to be lost. Asina had been more herself at the time. Luckily for the child she was able to lead her to some humans that would help her get home.
That had been the last act of kindness she had done before the human disappeared. She tilted her head once more and then stretched her body standing and said "You seem to have something else on your mind darling."

"I wouldn't have hunted for them either. Oh, I'm just inexperienced..." Shattered mumbled. She hated asking for help, but it was probably best for the situation. Her curled tail thumped against the ground somewhat nervously. Asina ought to be a little fed up with her now, wouldn't she? Just had to wait and see, huh? She flared her nostrils catching different scents. Curious once again, she tried to find out what it was.
Her ears flicked to and fro, hearing other dogs in the cemetery. More company. Hmm. Her dark crimson eyes stared into the shadow and behind Asina. Some could be companions, some could be deadly threats. Hear white fur would stand out, but if she lay flat with paws tucked under herself, she could blend in with the bracken easily. She couldn't stay like this. She really did need to know how to defend herself against everyone else. People couldn't be fully trusted, the humans made that clear. Humans. She cringed. They were the reason the world was like this. Why she and Asina were... evolved from the original dog.
Her ears slightly perked at her words. "Inexperienced?" She said with a snort. Then she thought for a second "Actually, I see what you mean. But I believe those dogs that once had humans for company have to learn more than us that were brought up out here." She said next. Taking her body she turned to look back further in the darkness of the cemetery saying "In your case of inexperience...use what you already know to your advantage." With that being said Asina started walking away and paused looking over her shoulder saying "...come on then" For once, in a long time Asina was offering assistance. She usually kept away from others, but what was showing a fellow hunting dog a few things.
"We are hunting dogs. Due to the human's mistake some of us have acquired...unique things. For me...speed, strength, my fangs, being able to survive on blood of others, but I do have a weakness. I can't really function in the day. I could walk around if I wanted too though I don't think I'd be of much use for very long." She spoke walking again.

She got to her paws, thinking about Asina said. Weakness and Strength. Weakness, I don't know what to do past instinct. Strength, I have fangs and I can survive in this condition. We're evolved. Shattered followed at her side, but staying with her shoulders past Asina's haunches. Her legs worked a brisk pace and kept up with the other female. Huh. Hunting dogs fit their actions perfectly.
She picked up her pace and said, "Thanks, by the way." Before slipping back again. The female Basenji could smell the other dogs not far from here and licked her canines. For the first time in a while she felt the need to actually fight something. Shattered had another sense of security walking beside the Ibizan hound. Asina was older and knew what she was doing. She made that clear when the female intruded the cemetery. At first all she was was a visitor. Sattered ought to be more than that now.
She stepped lightly not wanting to let anything know they were there. Though anyone is the right mind who was paying attention would probably smell them. Two walking dogs weren't that hard to scent. Shattered avoided dead leaves, subconsciously. They were awfully loud.
Asina smiled slightly looking back at the female saying "Can't have you walking out here without a little experience now can I?" She took in a breath smelling the other two dogs and started getting excited. The joy of slightly if not scaring completely others off was always fun. Though this time she actually had somebody with her. She'd admit maybe the occasional friend was good to have about.
She followed the scent of the two dogs till they were close enough. Looked like they had found the hollow tree where she would sleep at. Her paws were quiet as she walked calmly toward them but stayed within the shadows. "Sometimes plain out fighting isn't the way to go. You can use intimidation...maybe a bit of force with it" she said quietly to Shattered and waved her head for the female to give it a try. "Let's see what you can do by yourself. Don't worry. I'll be close to jump in if they try something" she said moving off in some bushes that went around the tree.
She found a good spot within them and laid low to watch. She wouldn't let Shattered get hurt. Not while she was within this cemetery.

She nodded to Asina, thinking of her task. Her nostrils flared and her jaw sat slightly open, drinking in their smell. Intimidation and Force? Seems fairly easy. Who knows. She watched her friend slip into a bush to grant her safety. The Basenji looked at the dogs and Asina. She found a spot to go to attack or scare the dogs. If they fled from her in that position, they would head into Asina. She nodded her to the spot behind the dogs and began her part. Instinctively, she dropped into a crouch, most of the spindly grass concealing her. Shattered stalked around the tree where their backs were turned. Finding no need to conceal herself, she rose up as tall as she could behind the two.
In a dangerous tone of voice, she asked in the smaller one's ear, "Are we lost? Need some help?" She bared her fangs and let out a deep bark. Shattered snapped her jaws by the dog's ear, just nicking it. A bit of blood began to swell at the dog's wound. She smirked, Just avoid your own injuries... At the scent and taste of blood, she got exited, adrenaline pumping through her veins.
She watched Shattered closely as she made her way towards the two dogs. She watched the smaller dog slightly yelp and move to the side. Her eyes then switched to the other dog who was a bit larger turn, growling at Shattered. Asina smiled from within the bushes as the larger male spoke "Lost? We are not lost" And then took a step at Shattered. Her body was already moving out the bushes as she spoke, "Tsk tsk...you must obvious be lost. And a bit overconfident too" Delicate steps were made precisely as she circled around the back side of the two dogs. She looked to the smaller dog before saying "Shattered do you think they are lost or just intruding on someone's home and thinking they can get by without being noticed?"
"Shadow, I think we better go" the smaller dog said starting to back away and Asina blocked him tilting her head looking to the larger male and smiled "Oh but you must truly stay for something to eat." Fangs showed more visibly as she now made her way between the two males. She glanced at Shattered and lifted her head upward indicating towards the smaller male and focused more on the larger one saying almost playfully "We don't bite hun.." Just to be more fun she nipped his shoulder saying "much" The larger male seem to by it and grunted saying "I don't see why we can't" If Asina's eyes could get any brighter of red it would've been more obvious of what she meant to eat.
