"before the story begins, is it such a sin, for me to take what's mine
until the end of time, we were more then friends, before the story ends."
massive stature was advanced at a leisurely pace. each monstrous, caramel paw cast forth was surely and sound, placing only intentionally and never haphazardly. lion's mane of obsidian and caramel draped about my thickly lined neck as i approached the docks. the icy air did me well with all of this insulation, icy crystalline lenses matching perfectly with the frigid backdrop. the soft whir of a hum expelled between otherwise clenched jowls as i took a seat upon the cold mire, looking out over the lake. it was almost eerie here, with the silence and the tragedy which had occurred. it was something of a marvel i survived, but i supposed i couldn't be too upset about it.
with each exhale a plume of mystified carbon expelled into the atmosphere, soon to dissipate into the garish atmosphere. hulking mass remained ever stationary as i awaited company, or to grow tired of this scenery and to move on. only time would tell.

Minx's paws lightly touched the area surrounding the cove. she had liked coming out here because it was quiet and she liked the roar of the ocean nearby. her ears were pricked, acoustics cupping any faint noise that might come to them. her lavender colored eyes roamed around. the cove was fairly quiet right now but her nose picked up the scent of a male. she was nervous because males tended to be aggressive and mean and that was something she didnt want to be bothered with right now. She walked into the cove and eventually her eyes landed on the male. he was Tibetan mastiff if she wasn't mistaking. she gingerly approached him. she tucked her hindquarters into a sitting position and watched him.
"hi," she said to him in a friendly tone. "I'm minx. what is your name?" she asked him curiously as she waited to see what he would say next.
"before the story begins, is it such a sin, for me to take what's mine
until the end of time, we were more then friends, before the story ends."
The sound of the feminine voice echoed in the atmosphere as she sweetly, gingerly approached. Lions maned neck craned so that icy crystalline lenses could see her better. The smaller gal was rather beautiful in her wake but i could not, would not delve. For fear of seeing adrasteia again. That woman would have my head in a moment's time should I ever follow through with my googly eyes. Rather, i offered the soft gal a nod of the skull.
"hello minx, I am Varro."
Half of me expected her to know who I was. Though traveling far from my crowned lands, I would remain kingly at all times. Squared muzzle then shifted back toward the body of water, elevating slightly so that icy lenses had to observe the waters edge by peering downward slightly. Posture was regal, royal, and proud. The gentle breeze ruffled my onyx and caramel fur, and I wondered how the girl would take the cold with her less dense coat. But I suppose that wasn't my problem, now was it?
"how does the lady fair?"
Moderate tones inquired without rasp or hesitation.

Minx smiled at him.
"It's nice to meet you Varro," she said to him. "I'm doing well. can't wait for the spring time though," she admitted shyly. "Cold and I dont get along although i dont really feel it , my paws however are another story." she said chuckling a bit as she tilted her head to the side. "Do you normally come out here exploring?" she asked him. "This place can get a bit creepy at night time, specially during the october month. weird coincidences i think not." she shivered from the memory of the last halloween she had walked through here. she made a mental note never to come back here again but today she had found herself walking along here anyway. so much for keeping to her own guns.
"do you have family near here if you dont' mind me asking?" she prompted him as she waited patiently for him to respond. he seemed nice so that was a good thing. you can never tell my someone's appearance what they're personality is gonna be like.

my what a talkative little thing, wasn't she! i didn't rightly mind. i had too long been alone, listening to my own whirs. she inquired me almost endlessly, but finally it ended and i was sure she'd finished before i would speak.
"this is the first time visiting this area, i've been traveling."
temperate tones summed up rather nonchalantly as icy lenses rotated to look at minx.
"for whatever reason, i have lost my family."
it was almost as if i shrugged it off, but instead i was rather upset by this. especially losing contact with adra. where had she gone? and why hadn't i tried harder to stick around her?
"yourself, dear minx?"
i returned fire, hoping she had more to say then my indifferent ass.

Minx listened to him and frowned.
"I'm so sorry to hear that Varro," she said sadly and sympathetically. "I kinda know the feeling though. I dont rightly know where my own family is or even if they are still alive at this point." she said sighing as she lowered her head for a moment before raising her eyes back to his. "But i've learned to rely on myself to survive. no one else can do it for me." she said shrugging her shoulder as she watched him. "Yeah this isn't my first time here. i came here a while ago during the october month. scared the bejesus out of me though." she said shivering again at the thought. "This place got real creepy." she said her lip twitching. "But I do know some cool places to go if you'd like to take a walk with me?" she offered getting to her feet and stretching languidly. she lowered the front half of her body into a half bow and let her rump face the sky. when she was done stretching she stood squarely on all fours and wagged her tail slowly as she waited to see if he would join her in a walk to explore.
"before the story begins, is it such a sin, for me to take what's mine
until the end of time, we were more then friends, before the story ends."
Minx kept mentioning how this area got creepy at a certain time in the year. Brows knitted above crystalline lenses as I observed her, what ever could she mean? Weren't we the only things left?
"whatever do you mean, creepy, in October?"
I ventured, but before I knew it she was apologizing for my having lost my family and then proceeded to ask about exploring with her. She stretched, rump skyward as torso remained toward the mire. What an enticing position. I smirked slightly before hind limbs elevated colossal stature, standing at my full height. I pivoted toward minx, stocky limbs performing the action with grace.
"surely, lovely minx! Show me around."
I then prepared myself to follow the girl, wherever she may go, and whatever it was she would show me. Perhaps we would delve into the nomadic ways of our ancestors, retreat almost wholly to our roots. What a primitive time, surely we can all remained civilized.
