WORDS: 000 | TAG: NOTES: land claim for Mortifera
I had wandered aimlessly now, quite literally a ghost stuck in her own daydream. I was now undead, and I could use this to my advantage. Perhaps it will frighten, perhaps it will intrigue. Either way, I would welcome both reactions. My appendages were extended to a full length now, stride quick and graceful. Like myself, Mortifera had died. And with my rebirth, comes the Resurrection of Mortifera. though I wondered without thought or intentions, I studied the terrain in which I walked. Eventually, I came across the boundary of an old city, it was in fact run down- mother nature leaving her noticeable mark. Buildings that once towered now crumbled and lay broken on the ground. It's streets cracked and worn, and vegetation was endless. This was where I would rebuild.
Well, maybe not here exactly. It took me most of the days time to travel the outskirts of the city. And as I wandered, I was able to spot multiple trails in the woods that bordered the city, some led to streams, one led to a giant river still ever-flowing. One led to an old caddy-shack cabin that was isolated from everything else. And further down from that trail was the deal breaker- I wandered cautiously down winding trail, and there was a sense of nostalgia as I neared the building. It wasn't the Mortician's Fortress in the exact form, but it was damn near close. Hastily, I wandered into the run down sanctuary. Vegetation was lively, roots and vines had the walls and any walkways and bars in it's grasp. Soon the "click clack" of my claws could be heard slightly echoing down the halls and along the walkways on the metal paths and stairs. As i strode, I made sure to leave my scent by rolling or rubbing along side of anything I could find, at some points the unhealed flesh that was still tending to itself scraped off as well. Eventually, I made my way to what seemed like the end of the walkway, until to my right was a hidden door that led to the roof top, and I found myself bursting through the doorway and into the light. I cringed as the light hit my face. Who would join me here? Who would find my looks intriguing, and who would run from it? I would soon find out. I ran to the side of the vast building top, climbed halfway onto the side and bellowed out a howl, my chest vibrated as it picked up it's octaves as it ran. "An invitation to any and all, so long as you can hang! Join me- in the climb to newly found greatness!"
Crawling from hell,
fallen from grace.
