Darqués is a reserved, solitary being. Proud and powerful, he truly is a silent force of nature, demanding obedience and respect. While often silent, when he does speak, his words carry meaning and demand attention. Darqués rarely displays high levels of emotion, keeping a calm, cool exterior, though when he does, it's usually a fierce, unrestrained outburst with a single purpose. While is untrusting, Darqués will occasionally partake in conversation with others, usually when the other is a creature he feels comfortable around, be they stranger or not. Cold as he may appear, and likely be, it can't be said he's made completely of stone. Darqués has what made be called a ... soft spot for those in need of help. Namely, the weak, defenseless, and the lost-causes too. He's a just creature, willing to lend aid to those who need it, and punishment to the ones who deserve it. Also, he suffers from what some call a curse, or a blessing. Curiosity. Darqués hides it well, but he can't help wondering about things, and about others and what makes them...tick.
Background
The male's paws sank into the fallen leaves of autumn, the ash-grey fur and black nails hidden by the colorful blanket of decay. His head held hid and nose tipped towards the sky, Darqués let out a long, defeated sight. This land was too bright, to alive even in death. It did not welcome him, it never had, and he had been foolish for wandering so long upon it and wishing for what couldn't be. Longingly, he took a breath of the bittersweet air, smelling the sweet scent of rotting leaves as well as the bitterness of death that bit at him. With one last gaze at this world, knowing it only died to make way for the new, he turned and left for the one place that felt like home. The land of the dead and gone. The world of stillness and fear, of lurking dangers unseen. He headed to the place he belonged at. The Shadow Realm.
